ive been reading about aids in africa and its put a whole new perspctive on Gdublya n the good ol us of A he has evidently spent something like $10 billion on AIDs \HIV programs in the developing world some of it must have done some good and there was i just thinking he was a warmonger
looking out for the rich mericans
oh all the drugs had to be bought from western drug giants so i guess it was just an advertizing exercise
still maybe he saved a few lives in the process

Yup. It’s a crazy thing, but money-wise GWB is doing more for Africa than anyone before him, and there have been results.
The downside is on abstinence education. The right-wing policies here that don’t work for teaching folks about sex and focusing mostly on how not to do it (which scientifically doesn’t work) are being exported. You can’t buy condoms with Bush’s money. Museveni and his wife in Uganda totally are on board with abstinence education. The result: a blip in rising HIV infection.
