{"id":310,"date":"2004-06-24T15:14:34","date_gmt":"2004-06-24T19:14:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dee-rob.com\/wordpress\/?p=310"},"modified":"2004-06-24T15:14:34","modified_gmt":"2004-06-24T19:14:34","slug":"thank-god-pun-intended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dee-rob.com\/wp\/thank-god-pun-intended\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank god (pun intended)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/onbeingunfunny\/\">this comic blogger and comedy colleague<\/a> I started perusing former <i>Facts of Life<\/i> megastar, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lisawhelchel.com\/\">Lisa Whelchel&#8217;s website.<\/a>  Lisa&#8217;s given up showbidness for Jesus, and through her prayer guide &#8216;blog thingy, I found the motherlode of happy, joy and wonderfulness &#8212; a bunch of wav files with the variety of them songs over the 9-year run of the wacky hijinks of those girls from Eastland Academy (or whatever the fuck the name of the fictional school was).<\/p>\n<p>Just hearing the them music from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0083913\/\"><i>They Facts of Life Goes to Paris<\/i><\/a> helped my spirit to soar and the first smile to cross my face in a week or so of worry.<\/p>\n<p>So, it&#8217;s kind of like Lisa prayed for me, you know.  She got religion and a website, which made my friend link to her, because damnit, she be all goofy and shit, and then I got to hear the theme music.
